Richard, Done. I am not sure VORACIOUS is exactly what you are looking for because it is rather dark and I don't believe you will find it encouraging. I am sure there are other members who can suggest more encouraging material. I will send copies of two other poems by Dennis Green taken from a book call "Voices from the Parking Lot: Parkinson's Insights and Perspectives" which deals with some of the same issues but are much lighter. I find them both beautiful and sensitive. Also, I will send information on how to order the book which has some encouraging material in case you are interested. Good luck in your quest. ...Clay -----Original Message----- From: Richard Jenkins [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: Thursday, August 02, 2001 2:22 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: Credit for VORACIOUS Hello All: My name is Richard Jenkins, I am from MI. My uncle who has PD lives here as well. He has had it for over five years. I thank you all for being here, I just joined the list yesterday, and was interested in the VORACIOUS poem. It sounds like something I could use to learn how to effectively encourage my uncle. I may have just missed downloading it He has had the brain generator implant, and it has helped the tremors on his left side, but now his right side is worse, and his speech is affected. He is getting more and more frustrated, upset, and scared. I want to encourage him but don't know how. I would appreciate it if someone would forward it to me. Thank you for your time, Richard Jenkins ----- Original Message ----- From: "Clay Felts" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Wednesday, August 01, 2001 4:19 PM Subject: Credit for VORACIOUS I apologize that the credit line for VORACIOUS was not posted with the poem. The poem was written by my younger brother Norman right after he received life-limiting news regarding his health and I was diagnosed with PD. I came across it recently and felt it could be shared. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:[log in to unmask] In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:[log in to unmask] In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:[log in to unmask] In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn
