Wow! A chance to post on-topic for me! I'm not sure I can
follow through with an on-topic post or not.

Thank you, Dabu, for the information on "lymphatic drainage."
The Amantidine is what caught my eye as it is one of the meds in
     my current PD-drug-cocktail (... (100 mg) @ 4 times a day; along
     with Carbidopa/Levodopa (CR 50/200) @ 4 times a day; Ropinirole
     (1 mg) 2 @ 3 times a day; Selegiline (5 mg) @ 2 per day; and,
Benztropine (0.5 mg) @ 3 per day ...) I'll do some 'Net searches
and see if it might apply to me. ;-)

Does anybody know if swollen legs is yet another symptom or
side-effect? Here's my story: Before I had decided to go ahead
with my hip-replacement surgery, both my G.P. and one of the Or-
thopaedic specialists I saw gave me a prescription for Celebrex.
It took almost a day for the allergic symptoms to show up and and
another couple of days to realize what had happened. From the
directions, the possible side-effects that I manifested (among
     many) were:

                                 skin rash
                                  itching
swelling of ankles, feet, or hands

These were under the heading of "Check with your doctor as
soon as possible." I assumed that when I stopped taking the med-
ication, my feet and ankles would stop swelling. They haven't.
And to make things more interesting, I stand much of the day in
     my work. :-(

So, to make life as enjoyable as possible, today I went to
what thought would be a simple crown being glued back on, and
had a tooth extracted instead; last weekend while doing some
lite yard work I contracted poison ivy on my ankles; my swelling
doesn't go away unless I sit with my legs propped up; and I had a
total hip replacement back in May.

(BTW, I've never complained about food anywhere I've been ...
until I stayed in a hospital! Egad! How do people eat that
stuff?!? And, if you are on Selegiline at less than or equal
     10 mg a day -- don't tell 'em. :-( )

I think I'm falling apart! But, enough of my whining.

Can anybody else make a connection between PD and swelling or
perhaps as a once-it's-started-it-doesn't-go-away side effect of
     any PD medications?

Call me curious today and "grandpa" next March or April.
Thanks, in advance, for any on- or off-list replies ...

Another BTW: Although it isn't part of my standard signa-
