> What? Untreatable? He said this to you?! I wouldn't take his word on that. > > He's right about one thing. You need to see a movement disorders specialist. Mike....hang in there ...I went to four M.D.s before I finally went to a neurologist and got no where with him, went to another neurologist and finally the third neurologist (a movement disorder specialist) was on top of it all and knew what it was almost immediately and I had very minimal symptoms....no tremors...I had been diagnosed with or had comments made by doctors from "I don't think you have a problem" to "it's all in your head" to lupus to fibromyalgia to diabetes, etc., etc....and a few other things. I called the first two neurologists to let them know what I had and both of them said they "NEVER EVEN THOUGHT OF PD" and they are trained professionals.....Just keep going until you get an answer....AND TREATMENT. You can go into www.parkinson.org and go to the section ask Dr. Lieberman a question and he will give you names of movement disorder specialists in your area or as close to your area as one might be....if you wind up going to the University just take it in stride and know that at least you'll get some answers.....
