Don, This list is a living entity which reflects the thoughts, opinions and feelings of its members. Politics and religion are two topics that always seem to elicit the strongest response. The stem cell debate is nothing but politics and religion. How can they be ignored? My personal opinion is that GWB's decision was weak and a political compromise that will slow the research in this country to a crawl. I don't think that criticizing a right wing conservative who attempts to push his self-righteous morality on millions of suffering people is necessarily "leftist political venom".
