Those of you who haven't yet seen Elizabeth Nickson's piece in the National Post might want to have a look--especially those who can write biting Letters to the Editor. Entitled "Evil resides among us, in our hearts," the article begins with heartfelt (I want to put this word in quotation marks, but to do so would be a cheap shot) personal anecdotes, but shifts suddenly to a sweeping attack on radicals, "the child-like activists . . . that we cradle in our country, who prosecute constant virulent attacks on America's institutions and corporations, and who celebrate, as an alternative, a foolish dream of a peaceable stone-age culture must use this time to think. Their fantasy of the evils of the last 'five hundred years of colonialism' gives permission to terrorists abroad who are truly evil, and who use the culture of complaint on our continent to explain and persuade others that they are right." And it goes on, referring to the "utterly irresponsible writings of our radical academics" . . . .
