David Blakesley asked me to forward his announcement about the new on-line version of The Writing Instructor. The TWI looks like it's going to be a great initiative. I invite you to have a look at it. Graham ------------------------------------------------------- Greetings, On behalf of our editorial board, Dawn Formo and I are pleased to announce the return/debut of *The Writing Instructor* at http://www.writinginstructor.com As many of you may know, TWI was a print journal from 1981 until 1997. We've made it back in new form, with plenty of newly published and very fine work that should be of interest to writing instructors. We're calling TWI a "networked journal and digital community for writers and teachers of writing," with the idea that we will know more precisely what that means once we're adjusted to our new home on the WWW. All open submissions have undergone blind, peer review. Invited work (so indicated) has also been reviewed by members of the editorial board. The project is a cooperative of effort of Purdue University and California State University, San Marcos, as well as our many fine colleagues on the editorial board (152 in all), representing over 60 universities, two-year colleges, and high schools and over 40 graduate programs in rhetoric and composition. We invite you to read, write, and discuss. We also hope you find TWI useful, provocative, and fun. Much more is on the way . . .
