I do not believe there are any complications with Sinement and any dosage aspirin. However. Twice I had an acute stomach ulcer caused by aspirin - one in '83 [pre dx with PD] & once in '95 [post dx]. In '83 I had a dr. with some credentials - he was a semi-retired guy who had been Eisenhower's personal doctor for awhile and he was a board member of the National Institutes of Health. He told me that NO ONE should EVER take any aspirin. In '95 I had been taking Ibuprophan [sp?], which, I did not know, is aspirin based. I had been taking it for just a week or 2 when it happened again. Not a lot of fun. Both times I lost about 1/3 of my blood in my stomach and passed out. Once I was within 1/2 hour of being in my car on Interstate Rt. 80. The first time they pumped it out [not much fun for me], the second time I managed to lose it all in the ambulance [not a lot of fun for them] St Joseph's aspirin for Children is now running an ad saying that "most doctors" now recommend just one of their kid's pills [80 mg] per day to prevent heart attacks. I think your dad might want to use something other than 3 or 4 aspirins/day for his aches n pains.
