Joao, the man is only human! He is faced with the biggest decision since WW2 and the American people must make it clear how they feel. The petition is not an explanation of how and why he should make decisions, it is a plea, a piece of information he should take into consideration when making his decision. IMHO I consider this petition as offensive to a President of a Nation in taking for granted that he may be ignorant , or unaware , and without the consciousness of the importance of the consequences of the acts and decisions he will be involved . .
