Miss Camilla, my name is Edwin Bustos from Costa Rica. I have belonged to
the internet Parkinson group for the past three years. I present to you the
following case: my father is 59 years old and has Parkinson's for the past
10 years. Because of difficult financial situations which I can proove, I
cannot as a son buy medicine to be able to keep him stable and alive. I
plead to your institution if there is any kind of help for him; this is a
human life, [although] he is not from the United States, he is a human
being. Here in Costa Rica this illness is not common and there are no
associations or institutions for help, what real chances for help as there
are.
I appreciate your reading this note and at the same time I appreciate your
help.--Edwin Bustos
Camilla--the sense of the note is that he is asking specifically for help
for medicine, not that he is asking generally whether there is help for PD.
