However powerful you may be, Mr. Cottingham,
I request that you avoid publicizing personal attacks in the
guise of administrative decision-making. This behaviour
undercuts the openness and safety of PIEN, and in truth, it gnaws at
the purpose of the PIEN list, by dishonoring one of its loyal,
steady contributors, Janet Patterson.

I come unsolicited to the defense of Janet Patterson. She is suffering
from two HORRIBLE diseases, PD and Clinical Depression. There
is no room on PIEN to lower someone by labelling a PWP as not stable
enough.
It's a miracle that Janet is with us at all, and we should look
for the gifts she shares with us, not the faults that you perceive.

You should hold your tongue, sir, and earn the position
in which you have placed yourself. Although I disagree with janet's
term,
"cheap seats," for classism has no place in the healing process,
your attack makes me ask whether YOU should leave for a while,
and let Barbara and those she needs to help her run the list.

Be careful , Mr. Cottingham, or you, too shall tumble. PIEN
has no room for insinuations , judgemental behaviour, or
attacks disguised as decision-making. We must rise to higher
ground, and use only positive energies, and above all else,
join hands worldwide, to push for a cure to Parkinson's Disease.
