Barbara,
Thank you for your message to the list. Many of us were concerned about
you and about the nature of some of the comments appearing on the list.
Certainly the last few weeks have been among the darkest for many -
stress levels are high, there is still much grief, many fears and
feelings are easily hurt. It is still difficult for many people to get
back to "normal". Your expressions of understanding are appreciated.

John, my deepest sympathy for your losses. I don't think many people knew
what you and your family were going through. I hope you know we are all
here for you.

I joined this list almost 6 years ago, a few weeks after my diagnosis at
age 45. I believe in many ways it helped me survive those initial months
of coping with the diagnosis. The knowlege about PD I have learned from
the list has been invaluable in living with this disease and in
partcipating in my treatment. But most important of all has been the
support and friendship of other list members. I can't imagine how i would
have gotten through the last 6 years without them.

To the new members, please stay with us - participating in the discussion
or just reading the messages if you prefer will help immensely. To those
old friends who have signed off, as Barbara wrote, I hope you will visit
with us again sometime. You are missed.

Best to all,
Linda
