Katie, thank you so much for your encouragement. Yes, I did what had to be done, but was about ready to get attorney if it didn't work. My last post-retirement part-time job was with a probate attorney, so maybe he could have helped me find a disability attorney. You sure know your stuff, and the info you provide will be very helpful I'm sure to people facing this monumental problem unawares. My father (deceased) had surgery for benign brain tumor and suffered from "nervousness" about 20 yrs ago and got disability very easily, so I had no idea what I was facing. It is such a shame people have to go thru this.
