Hello Rayilyn, et al,

I am allergic to almost every muscle relaxant on the planet, and I was
prescribed blacofen this summer as an alternative to a muscle relaxant.
Blacofen is an anti-spasmatic drug usually given to paraplegics, etc.  I was
given this due to muscle spasms in face and jaw and in  left leg and dystonia
on bottom of feet, particularly right foot, and in my hands, particularly my
right hand.  The drug effected my balance, but was basicly side-effect free.
The purpose of this prescription was to get me past the side effects of the
sinemet and to stabilize me until it could be determined if I have PD or if
the PD-like symptoms I have are caused by something else.  It seems to work
quite well, and I have stopped grinding my teeth at a pace fast and furious
enough to merit two emergency trips to my dentists in one weekend.  Katie
