Thanks for all the replies about voice recognition software. Dragon Naturally Speaking Professional was highly recommended by many. It was pointed out though that it takes a lot of time and paatience to get any of these programs working well, although a number of people said no matter what they did, they were unable to work with voice recognition programs at all. It seems the problems of inconsistency of speech volume and quality among many PWP would make this task even more difficult. John Qvist's suggestion about working with a speech therapist sounds like a great idea for those who can access those services. What about occupational therapists as well - is this an area they might be able to help with?
