Brian, you ask what is DBS.  It is Deep Brain Stimulation surgery which
involves placing a thin metal electrode into the brain and attaching it
to a computerized pulse generator, which is implanted under the skin,
like a pacemaker.  Depending where in the brain the electrode is placed,
it can reduce tremor, rigidity, bradykinesia, and gait problems.
