My current method for minimizing constipation is to take two fibre tablets morning and evening. During the day, I try to get at least 1/2 ounce of water per pound of body weight. (Other beverages - coffee, juice, etc. require processing by the body and should be enjoyed IN ADDITION to water - not instead of it.) The body prioritizes it's use of water and softening stools is one of the early victims. Several sources have also expressed cautions about using laxatives, even natural ones, on a long-term basis. She was taking 2 amantadine/day about 6 months ago, but reduced it to one The last 6-8 months, she has had bad constipation, even though she eats lots of veggies and fruits. Anyone have a solution?
