Starting late 2002 or in 2003, 3000 PD patients will be tracked at 42 sites for 5 years to determine the effectiveness of various substances at slowing the progression of the disease. The study will be supported by a $6.5 million grant from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NIH Grant number 1U01NS43128-01).
