Margaret Procter's call for sharing of information probably hits a node in all of us, and her brief review of historic work also tells us how much has, in fact, been done in Canada. And in all these matters we're lucky to have the wealth of U.S. resources and experience available. Margaret, the Writing Centre Survey you mention was actually done in 1995, so it's a bit dated now, although some trends reflected in that survey can still help inform our practice today. In any case, the survey is available at <www.cariboo.bc.ca/ae/WRTGCNTR/Survey.htm>. Cheers, Henry Hubert ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Henry A.
