Dee, I believe you are right! Also what is important is to create an awareness of how vital this research is to so many people. It is extremely controversial and most people dont fully understand it. I believe the goal should be taking the focus off the research and placing it on the faces of the babies born with diabetes, the millions who's quality of life is impaired due to PD, Alzheimers and MS, not to mention the accident victims who have spinal cord injuries. Too much discussion goes on about whether or not the cells used come from what we should consider a life, while we know for sure that the people it can help are very much alive. Personally, I have been working with a film director to put together a PSA with the hope of getting it played in movie theaters all over America - we are in the beginning stages but have a lot of volunteers and would appreciate any help anyone out there could offer. I can send a copy of the treatment to any one who believes they have something to contribute. It is my way of doing something BUT there are great things being done at the Parkinson Alliance and especially at the Michael J Fox Foundation, donating to them is something we should all do regularly. If the government isn't going to find us a cure in 5-10 years, we have to do it ourselves.
