My Name is Florence Frankel and next month, Feb. 5, 2002 will be a year that I became a residence of Israel. Of course I am adjusting to the new way of life, etc. which is quite different than America, but I am doing as well as can be expected. For many years, and until this very day, I am having weakness on my right side, weakness and heavy feeling in my chest, short of breath and lightheadness, etc. At this time Neurologists were looking for stroke, possibly Myasthenia Gravis, TIA etc. but couldn't give me a definite diagnosis. About three years ago, I had a very bad fall due to Osteoporosis which developed into poor balance and no stability. Couldn't stand or walk without shaking to the point I had to seek help from a Neurologist out here who gave me Sinemet and after a little over a week, until the present day I am feeling much better, but not 100%. To me a miracle has happened as I never expected that I would get better. Because I responded so well with Sinemet, is the reason why I was told I have Parkinsons Disease. Yes, I feel very grateful that a friend of mine recommended me to join this support group and I am sure it will help me greatly.
