===========================

Dear friends,

A few months ago I was bounced from the list, because the messages they
sent, were bounced. I did not try to get back because I had other things
on
my mind. That's why I asked Linda if she would be so kind to mail the
fhis
message to the list.

Kees Paap has 13 years Parkinson's Disease. He became at an age of 52,
father of a beautiful daughter. Faye (now 40) and Kees married 4 years
ago
in Waco texas. This child is a precious gift of God, says the
announcement
card. And she really is. "She is so beautiful and so sweet", says mother
Faye. "I expected an ugly baby".
"It is not just me, it is everyone that says that she is beautiful" adds
the very proud father. Suzanna Elizabeth was born at 10.36 pm at January
10th, 2002. At her birth she weighed 8 pound and 8 ounces and 20.5
inches
long. After 52 hours in the hospital, Faye delivered Suzanna with a
C-section.

Kees is very proud of his daughter. He has written several poems before
she
was even born and wrote three poems after her birth.
If you are interested in the poems, send an e-mail to
<[log in to unmask]> and he will send you an e-mail with his poems
about his daughter or about PD, or about one of the other subjects
whatever
you prefer.

When Faye goes back to work, Kees will take care of Suzanna. Faye is a
surgeon and works many hours a week. Kees's biggest concerns are his
"off"
periods, which have become worse the last half year. He can hardly walk
when he is "off" bad, so that is something to be aware off. Kees thinks
about having a stimulator implanted, but this surgery is not without a
risk. We will ty to get help by searching for an au-pair.
Kees may be forced to adjust his medication.

Whatever happens, Kees will stay optimistic and he is not planning to let
PD take over his life. Kees is organizing a golf tournament on April
11,
2002, to raise money for funding research. "4 more years to go", Kees
says. "We're making progress, 2.5 years ago it was 5"
With warm greetings,

Kees Paap
