Try taking Glucosamine/Chondroitin sulfate along with your Vioxx. It is a holistic product that really works for arthritis for many people and animals. It takes about 3 to 4 weeks before you will notice a difference but it will help. My husband has a friend who had to have his knees replaced. Before the scheduled surgery he went on Pain Free (a brand name). He was able to go back to golfing without getting the surgery. It lubricates the joints and helps regrowth of cartilage. It comes under many different names. I buy the one that offers the most for the least. Osteo-Biflex often is the cheapest. Read the back of the bottle. If it says Serving size 3 tablets and then lists Glucosamine at 1500 mg and chondroitin at 1200 mg you are all set.
