My favorite shoe is from Naturalizer and it's a taupe suede/style is what I call a Mary Jane. It buckles & I just slip them off without undoing the buckle each time. My right heel seldom drops, so I was always searching for my shoes under the diningroom table. Hope that helps. My back doesn't hurt so much when I wear the MaryJanes or a firmly tied sneaker.
