searching back in the archives you will also find positive discussion re: Born (German made shoe) and Ecco.......both brands available in Dillard's, Younkers, Macy's and Van Maur Dept stores..... A well constructed walking shoe with a sole that will not "grasp" carpeting....good sole support.....decent selection of styles in slip ons, sandals, boots as well as some decent looking dress shoes. Just look for a flat sole and probably not one with the slightly raised heel.
