I live in St. Louis, Mo, married, 4 grown children with 8 young
grandchildren. I was 53 in November and diagnosed with PD this past
December. I suppose it started about 2 years ago, when my right arm
stopped swinging. Then about 6 months ago, I started to develop a tremor
in my right hand. The neurologist started me on Sinement, to see if it
helped, and it did, so he is as positive as he can be, that it is PD. At
the time I am not taking any medications and I am going to attempt to
locate a movement disorder specialist. I am considering if I should take
Mirapex, because I have read there is a possibility of slowing the
progression. I have a brother 20 years older than myself who has been
diagnosed for 14 years.
I found your website from the book "When Parkinson's Strikes Early" by
Barbara Blake-krebs, M.A. and Linda Herman M.L.S. Your website looks
like it will be very helpful and I think I will enjoy it.
