The Annual Public Policy Forum was designed to increase awareness about
Parkinson's disease and empower advocates, who travel from across the
country to participate. The Forum brings the Parkinson's community
together
in order to educate and empower them and give them an active role in
changing their fate. It is an invaluable tool that unites the community
with
one voice.
The Forum serves as the premier educational program for Parkinson's
advocates. It provides participants with concrete skills so they can more
effectively energize their local Parkinson's community and better convey
their message.
The Forum also provides a venue for the nation's top scientific
researchers,
NIH officials and Parkinson's advocates to join forces toward their
common
goal-- finding a cure for Parkinson's disease.

9th Annual Morris K. Udall Awards Dinner
The 2002 Udall Awards dinner will be held:
Tuesday, May 21 at 6:30pm
Capital Hilton
1001- 16th Street, NW
Washington, D.C. 20036

The Annual Morris K. Udall Awards Dinner is an opportunity to remember Mo
Udall and honor his legacy. Mo Udall served in the U.S. House of
Representatives for 30 years and was a candidate for the Democratic
Presidential nomination in 1976. He infused American politics with his
signature style of humor, grace and dignity.
Congressman Udall died of Parkinson's disease in December 1998, however,
his
determination to live a full and vigorous life gained him great
admiration.
In recognition of Mo's strength and courage, the Parkinson's Action
Network
presents the Morris K. Udall Award for Public Service to individuals
whose
personal style and achievements have added to the civility of decency of
public policy debate.
