JoAnn, I got rid of my old upright (never got over it, had it since I was 10) when I first moved in with my mom. The one I have now is white/gold, very pretty with a good "high end", but not the tonal quality of my old one. It did understand and I could make it "talk". I'm keeping it and hoping. I can do a little with my right hand, but bass is very weak.
