Like others on this forum, I firmly believe that Julian should be put on the
proper medicine as soon as possible.  For me (and I was diagnosed about five
years ago), that medicine was Mirapex when it was first available around
four-and-a-half years ago.  Relief was immediate and profound, and is still
fairly effective to this day.  I am fairly certain that there is information
in the Parkinson's information Exchange Network Archives indicating that
there appears to be a pronounced slowing of disease progression while
taking Mirapex.  I feel certain that that is the case with me, side-effects
notwithstanding, as I believe my condition to be much the same as when I
