As Marcy and Rob point out, one way into the world of the CCCs is to go to
the conference, and the Canadian caucus session is a great way to find your
friends or make some new ones. Here's the lineup this year:

CCCC Canadian Caucus
Thursday night, March 21 at 6:45 in Parlor A of the Palmer House.

Speakers:
Tania Smith: "Cross (genre) training: A Case Study in WAC"
Janice Freeman: "The Face of Canadian Writing Centres: Connecting Online"
Betsy Sargent: "Electronic Inkshedding: A Low-Tech, High-Yield Essential
Use for a Computer
Lab in the Teaching of Writing"
Cathy Schryer: "Research in an Online Environment"
Tosh Tachino: "The Power of Identity in Writing"
Jean Guthrie: "Ethics and the Teaching of Writing"
Graham Smart: "The Professional Writing Intern Student as Ethnographer:
 Implications for the Writing Major"

Dinner to follow.

If others on this list are going to be presenting at the conference, it
might be useful to prepare a list of these sessions for the Canadian caucus
attendees. Email me ([log in to unmask]) with the times and titles
and I'll make sure that it is distributed at the caucus session.

Sarah:

The C's conference program is a 250 page book full of the titles of
papers being presented. 35 sessions happen concurrently. Many excellent,
many not. If you've never been, GO (especially to Chicago -- fabulous
city!). It is a deep immersion experience in the composition world. You
may not have dove land on your head, but you will emerge changed.

sorry I won't be there this year
