I hope we won't be wandering too long, and in an attempt to shorten the walk
and lengthen the dinner, I've done some research on where to eat. But first,
can I get a sense of the house on *kind* of food? I've got possible spots
with the following specializations:
Asian
Thai
Tapas (Mexican)
Japanese
Irish pub
Italian
Greek
Nouvelle cuisine
German

Maybe we should do this off the listserv, though. If you want to register a
preference, let me know at [log in to unmask] and I'll draw up, say,
three alternatives that we can choose from Thursday night, March 21 at 6:45
in Parlor A of the Palmer House.

And Sarah, if you go -- be absolutely *sure* to hook up with the Canadian
Caucus on Thursday night from 6:30-7:30 -- you'll hear about the state of
composition in Canada, and go out to dinner afterwards. I can't think of a
better way to find "home" in a sea of 3,000 or more conference attendees.
Heck, they even let hangers-on from other countries (such as myself) in the
door!

Marcy

(PS -- If you miss the meeting, just look for the large group of people
wandering the streets wondering where the restaurant is . . . )
