Hi, As always I am amazed (and grateful) at the collected amount of information here on the list, and I am hoping to gain some benefit from it once again. My mom recently saw an ad in the local paper (Lafayette, LA) placed by a local doctor who administers IV glutathione treatments for PD and Alzheimer's sufferers. She has asked me to make an inquiry of the list members on behalf of my dad. Dad is 71 years old and has been on Mirapex more or less steadily since his diagnosis in June 2000. He is doing reasonably well physically, but has been showing some loss of mental acuity as well as occasionally experiencing benign hallucinations. His specialist in New Orleans has been using words like Alzheimers and Lewy Body Dementia, but seems unable or unwilling to make a firm diagnosis on the mental end. I seem to remember discussion many moons ago about a Dr. Perlmutter in Florida who pioneered or promotes this type of treatment. If you have any experience or knowledge of glutathione would you pass it on to me, so I can forward it to Mom? From what I recall, some folks swear by it and others decry it.
