Hi Jim... Regarding your question wherein you ask if anyone has had a successful Pallidotomy and who ALSO had a successful DBS ([presumably at a later date). FYI, I had a unilateral pallidotomy on October 24, 1994. The surgery was successful beyond my wildest dreams, provided I continued to take my daily meds (and I took them with near religious fervor! I happen to have an appointment this Tuesday with my neurosurgeon as I have finally begun to exhibit PD symptoms on the side oh which had previously been without any visible symptoms of this steeeeemkin disease! <deep sigh> I've had PD too long - around 25 years - to give up this late in the game/ Besides, If I DID throw in the towel now, I'd prolly mssl the CURE!
