carol and helen, hello. i'm fairly new to the program but i have had the
bilateral dbs and it was the greatest thing in the world. i went to my
neurosurgeon 's office today (dr. marc goldman) and ask him about the age
factor and he said that age has nothing to do withb surgery only mental
agility and physical agility are factors. judging by the emails i've read
from both of you , you are both "sharp as a tack". dr. goldman said he
performed several on people in their 70's and all were fine. so ladies, go
for it.
i can vouch for the surgery , i went from a wheelchair and 1 1/4 sinemet
tablets per hour to none. i amoff all meds.
