Hi Shekhar,

Yes, and no.  Sometimes you might
benefit, but for me, it's more prudent
to take the meds 1/2 hour before eating,
rathere than 1.5 to 2 hours before
eating.
Meanwhile, my off-periods are reduced
also by careful meal planning, adding
liberal amounts of citrus and even
soda to a light and frequent meal pattern.
