Hello, I am new to this site but have enjoyed hearing from everyone and the problems and complications from this dreadful disease. My friend has pd and has had since 1994 and the last year has progressed quite rapidly. He is contemplating the dbs surgery but on the other hand is very skeptical and almost frightened of the outcome. We have been reading other peoples results and seems to be quite successful, but have not heard of other sides. Bob is 68 yrs of age and not in real good health and is very tired of taking sinemet and comtan q 2-3hrs. and thinks possibly he is having some reaction to meds. for he becomes very slow and stiff after taking meds for a period of time. His tremor is quite severe and has pain with the tremor. We live in mid mo. and has really lived with this disease quite well until just the last year. Any comments on the subject would be appreciated.
