William, my grandfather literally turned to stone with PD and when my
grandmother finally had to  put him in a nursing home he got pneumonia and
died in 1968 because he couldn't move.  That's why we felt PD killed him.  I
know that something besides PD can get me, but if it doesn't, I see this as
my future.  I may be wrong of course, but I believe from what I"m hearing
that the complications of PD can kill you indirectly, altho usually not fast
like ALS.  Rayilyn
