Say Ivan, getting attention for Radon Therapy in America is only one step below getting the help we need for Parkinson's research to find a cure - in my/our book. We were told last year by a surgeon "just hold on, the cure is around the corner, maybe 5 years..." - like we can wait, like do we have a choice? I have the email addresses of my governor, and representatives, right in my email address book. It's easy to forward respectful and thoughtfully written concerns. My experience with "does it help" - A couple years ago our legislature wanted to place a 9% accomodation tax at the hotel/motel campground level (effecting my business) - "tax the tourists to pay for our kids education". I screamed and hollered nicely through direct email to each person on the legislature. "You want ME to clean toilets so the state's residents don't have to fork over the money they should to pay for their children's education...??". Anyway, for whatever reason that tax idea was repealed. I then thanked each individual legislator for their support to repeal the issue. Montana has enough bad publicity with mad-free-men, buffalo murderers and forest fires etc. - not to add tourist bashers to the group. You got me going there, didn't you??!! All this energy we have to write to eachother can be directed where it will do the most good. Keep at it - the squeaky wheel might get greased. Get me an appropriate physical address, get me a legitimate email address - I'll write a note. I'll write lots of 'em. I have lots of stamps and paper. And guess what, if you're in the area you can call and ask for a meeting with your governor (or their health care advisors) - I've seen two of mine. No one knows your pain like you do - and they won't know your pain until they wear your shoes. I think that is a survival mechanism for the species - not a personal slight.
