Hi All,

Dianne Sawyer will be interviewing Dr. Calne and one of his
patients Tuesday morning on ABC's Good Morning America.

Check your local listings for channel and time.

Tell all your associates, set your VCR's etc.

Should be interesting to see our Donald with Ms. Sawyer...

This is, of course, spawned by the story the Toronto Star broke
last Wednesday re: Michael J. Fox and a potential link between
Parkinson's and the environment / a virus? and the upcoming
documentary.

Dr. Donald Calne (and MJF) will be front and center in a 1 hour
documentary "The Parkinson's Enigma " (CTV April 7th) and
(Discovery Canada April 11th).

Three people who worked with Michael J. Fox on the TV sit-com
"Leo and Me" in Vancouver in the late 70's also have Parkinson's.

Who is Donald Calne?

Dr. Donald Calne has conducted research into Parkinson's
Disease for decades. He has devoted his life to the study
of Parkinson's and other degenerative diseases of the brain.

He has published over 500 papers and chapters
on neurological subjects, and he has edited eight books on
degenerative diseases of the brain. He has written three
books on neurology for scientists and physicians.

He has received numerous awards for his work,
the British Columbia Science and Engineering
Gold Medal, the Fred Springer Award from the American
Academy of Neurology, the Adele and Robert Blank Award
from New York University, the Professor Jacob Biely
Faculty Research Prize from the University of British Columbia,
the Canadian Medical Association's F.N.G. Starr Award (2000),
and the Order of Canada.

He is world renowned as a leader in Parkinson's research
and Canada is very proud of his accomplishments.

cheers ....... murray
