We did try fava beans for some time while awaiting for neurologist.
Nutrition is definitely important and sometimes sticking to it is very
hard. How much of fava beans to take at one time? To many Parkinson
patients neurologists/doctors prescribe a combination of drugs to
compensate for dopamine and improve overall malfunction of the body. To
doctor oneself is definitely a challenge. At some point of time as
Parkinson advances, the drugs will play the role in the maintenance. My
husband is taking Permax and for now we are satisfied. His neurologist
is delaying levodopa use until later stages. As we all know, each person
has his own set of circumstances. What works for one, may not work for
the other. This is my contribution to help with fava beans.

Subject: Fava Beans Produce L-Dopa...A natural alternative to
prescription drugs for Parkinsons????
