Also Folks on a personal note:

Gail adds: One of the best benefits from participating in
this forum is to have the opportunity to meet other advocates
face to face and catch the energy and enthusiasm from others
in the fight for a cure to Parkinson's. If you've felt alone in this
struggle, you won't feel that way anymore!

Putting faces together with names and with posts you have
read on this list over the years gives new meaning to what
this effort is all about. And it underscores the need for each
of our personal efforts to push for a cure NOW.

In adding a sense urgency to push for a cure, it empowers one
to feel a part of a whole .... a bright and talented effort with others.

It is a unique opportunity to get advocacy training, to exchange
ideas, to brainstorm with others and to learn effective approaches
to solving problems.

I highly recommend giving attendance to this forum
some serious consideration and even to extending
your trip a few days to do some Washington site
seeing.

This year is a special year for those who might like to
attend the forum but find that the cost of registration, travel
and accommodations is prohibitive.

* Thanks to an anonymous donor, an unusually large
scholarship fund is available to those who need financial
help to defray the cost of attendance to the forum. *
[Applications can be sent on request]

I urge anyone interested in attending the Forum to contact
the Parkinson's Action Network at - [log in to unmask]
or call- (703) 518-8877, or (800) 850-4726.

As Greg wrote:
"If you are looking for a traveling companion or roommate for
the Forum, or would just like to speak with someone who has
attended in the past, please log onto PAN's new * Discussion
Board to chat with fellow advocates! The new website is located
at http://www.parkinsonsaction.org . Registration forms can also
be downloaded at the website.

Sincerely,
Gail Vass, RN. sister to Edna Earle 54/6
