I would like to get some input from Canadian members if they were able to claim a disability amount due to PD in order to decrease their amount of Income Tax payable. There is a necessary form to sign by the doctor in order to claim. It appears this depends a lot on the doctor. Our family doctor said that hardly anybody living at home qualifies. He would not sign the form. Did you have any luck with your form and doctor? Although most PD are effected with the disease, but the question is extreme of severity according to our family doctor.
