Dolores,
Also - Be sure to not overlook if he is not dealing with his fears appropriately. He could be an emotional time bomb ticking. Get professional help for both of you if you need to.

Dolores,
Don't take it personally. Your husband may be feeling his own mortality and responding by trying to "get into shape". See a specialist who you can speak with and who can help with depression meds if necessary. My husband has battled the fatigue - he says that and depression are way worse than the PD. He started Ritalin in addition to an SSRI and really got a lift! Hopefully this will be his answer... Able people have no idea what it is like to be in your shoes.
    Good luck.

I'll try to keep this brief but I have a situation that I'm wondering if
anyone else has dealt with. To explain: I am 59. I have had PD symptoms
  approx.
