Janet,
I assume you did not have intention to hurt anybody. Sometimes it is how
we say instead of what is being said. Of course, there could be
misunderstanding due to our own perception. Again, one has to be careful
not to put the matter at rest by saying it is being perceived
incorrectly. My vocabulary is not very eloquent, but the whole idea
reminded me on a discussion: IF CHICKEN BECAME BEFORE THE EGG OR EGG WAS
THERE BEFORE THE CHICKEN. I know that religion and politics are very
intertwined. Janet, I came from the very poor part of the world. Being
poor beyond the today's imagination of most people, our little land what
you might call for the size of the GARDEN was SACRED. It was not just
the land, it was a meaning of life. It is easier to be at peace when you
live relatively comfortable life. I cherish my understanding, my little
own perspective, of Middle East conflict. (I am not taking any sides...)
This is my contribution to discussion on conflict. I just hope that my
message is clear. Thank you for reading.
Emily
