There's a lot of information on the web site of Rewired for Life, an organization for people who have had DBS surgery or are considering it. The url is: www.rewiredforlife.org Also you might want to take a look at the Medicare Technology assessment posted on the web at: http://www.hcfa.gov/coverage/8b3-jjj2.htm which summarizes the studies that have been done. One of the questions the researchers are looking at now are comparing implants in two different areas of the brain, and to try to determine which works best for which symptoms.
