Olga,
There are several doctors on this list. I hope one of them can offer some
insight into what is going on with you. I haven't a clue but my heart goes
out to you!
Debra

Subject: No enough breath

Hi List fellows,

I m not doing very well in the past few weeks, my ankle, hands, each
fingers, face , my whole body is still filled with water - and the new, a
stronger diureticum has helped me only for two weeks, and then the whole
thing began again. I also have strong pains in my limbs and in my back and
spinal column, in my fingers and right shoulder. Maybe my arthritis and
arthrosis bunrt into flames. Strong and frequent migraine attacks make my
days awful, and a new phenomenon "knocked my door": for more than a week I
have not been able to breath normally, sometimes I felt I would suffocate in
a minute, hardly I could speak at all - words could not come out from my
throat and chest. My voice was (and is) similar to a man's voice who has a
tube and microphone implant in his throat. I had to stop speaking after
every third or fourth word because there was no more air and power in the
chest and lungs. Speaking 4-5 sentences made me totally exhausted and tired,
I perspired/sweated so strongly from trying to press out the breath and
words that I got wet everywhere - my head, neck, whole body. Going to the
restroom, having a shower or preparing the most simple food for myself or
just going to the kitchen to have a glass of water were also extremly
exhausting challenges. When my doc came to visit me she could hear nothing
normal but heavy gasping in my chest and lungs and recognized that the
left side of my throat/laryngeal did not move, seemed to be paralysed.
 Adding up to my usual drugs ((4 x 100 mg Amantadine, 4 x .125 mg Mirapex, 4
x 50 mg Verospiron (Spironolactonum -diureticum),2 x 10 mg Anafranil 10
(clomipramin.hydrochl. - antidepressant), 4 x 0,5 mg Rivotril (Clonazepamum,
3 x5 mg Ditropan (oxybutynin chloride, against frequent and sudden
urinating), 1 x 5 mg Concor 5 (bisoprololium fumaricum and also Nitromint
pill taking below my tongue when needed because of my angina pectoris), and
vitamins&supplements)) now I take 2 kinds of inhalating aerosol suspension,
plus Diaphyllin (aminophylline) pills, plus a special liquid mixture
"composed" by the local pulmonologist(?) and Pulmex ointment plus infrared
lamp to get some relief.

It is a real pleasure to me to inform you that I am still alive - despite
of the no-end-of-medicines and lack of breathing.

Do you have any idea, advice, experience? Do you know what is it? My doc
thought that it was a NEW symptom of my PD...
What to do? I'd like to breathe easily!
