Sharon, I thouroughly agree with your advice. These pamplets are a "MUST" for every person with Parkinson's and their caregiver. Deborah Mark, Every PWP should have a copy of the APDA's educational supplement #16, titled: Why Parkinson's Disease Patients Should NOT Go To The Emergency Room. And on the back page of the supplement is an underlined statement: If your doctor doesn't help you more than the emergency room doctor, you need a new Parkinsons disease doctor. Supplement #5: Hospitalization of a Parkinson Patient, is another one every PWP should have a copy of. Call the APDA at 1-800-223-2732 and ask for a copy of all their educational supplements.
