I guess it's obvious she should get checked out and your request for neurologists in your area shows you already know this. The symptoms you describe are very similar to my own. I'm 35 and was diagnosed Jan 2002, though I had the symptoms for about 18 months before that and strongly suspected it was pd by summer 2001. My father has pd, dx in early 40's, and one of his sisters has an essential tremor (what I was hoping I had!). My Dad's mother also had early onset pd. Dad was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. I was born in Calgary Alberta and have moved east across Canada all the way to Newfoundland in several stops. I now live in Nova Scotia. But anyway - probably not too many common environmental factors. As for your sister's question "She wants to know what you all recommend to delay more symptoms if she does have Parkinson's" - I wish I knew! I've been told exercise - to keep your body strong and flexible so you're in the best possible shape when the big breakthrough in treatment does come. Not very reassuring I'm afraid. (Sorry for the first partial message direct to your email - my left hand did something odd. (Symptoms are only on the left side for now.))
