Talking of balance problems :-)) I have now experienced my first fall. I
was going to turn around but my legs and feet decided to stay put. Result >>
a cut to the temple where my head hit the radiator and an aching bruised
back where I bounced off a hard corner of the bed. I must have grabbed at
anything and everything judging from the other bruises down my body. You
know the cartoon where the cat gets to the top of the tree, the bird is out
on a slender branch. The cat pounces, the bird flies off. Cat falls to ground
grabbing frantically at fresh air. That was me- ouch.
On a more serious note I've noticed myself shuffling along more and more
over the last one - two months. The Ropinerole I have been taking for 5(?)
years (now 4 x 5mg tablets per day) has appeared less effective and work
more and more difficult and tiring. I've also taken Benzhexol and Selegiline
since I was diagnosed 10 years ago. No L-Dopa so far.
My question / concern is whether anybody taking high levels of Ropinerole
has noticed any impact on balance? Is there any reason why it could. A very
low L-dopa based drug is probably my next option.

Regards to all on the list
