Nagma,

My brother has similar symptoms and is in a nursing home. His medications
have not been changed for two years. I took him to a neurologist (PD one)
and he increased the medications and also changed the time they were being
taken. Also, we are feeding him (recently) 2400 calories of food hoping to
fatten (strengthen) him. At the same time we are fighting with the Physical
Therapist to give him more exercise. He has good days and bad days. We
will take him back to see the PD Doctor June 27th. We hope to see a change
in him. We will let all know.

Larry

> My mother was first diagnosed in 1993 in Baltimore, US. Back then her
symptoms were tremors with masked like expressions. The neurologist asked
her to walk spoke to her for max. 7 minutes and concluded that she had
Parkinsons! She was put on Sinemet then.
> Today she is 72 years. Everything has been downhill since 1993. She now
cannot walk, talk (when she does her speech is all garbelled). I don't know
if she can comprehend what we are saying. She needs full time
assistance/care.
> Can I do anything to change her situation. Is there anything that will
help her? She was so full of life before this. My only regret being I
didn't do enough for her when she could comprehend. I'd give anything to
change her situation. Please, anyone, help.
