There are lots of sites that will tell you more about Feldenkrais. I have even printed a few simple moves to do at my computer. The way I understand the explanations is that like some of the eastern practice, Feldenkrais can be relaxing and helps to "center" oneself. More importantly, from what I have read on the exchange network, Feldenkrais helps practitioners become more aware of how they move their bodies perhaps well and not so well. I remember some posts from months ago talking about little tips that could help Parkinson patients to walk, like wearing a weight on your foot, or drawing horizontal lines across paths in order to introduce a sense of "stepping" over something which seems to be a more productive or influential cue to the legs than just "walk". I remember when my Dad was first diagnosed, there was some talk of having him enroll in a therapy class that would help him learn and use the other ways we have to sense balance. He didn't participate, but I think it would have been worthwhile.
